Minnawarra House Family Support Program
Minnawarra House runs a wide variety of programs aimed at supporting families through social, practical and therapeutic groups. Our groups are open to residents of Armadale and the South-East Metro area. Most groups welcome people off all ages.
We offer counselling for individual adults, couples, and for children under 10.
We can help you with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, anger, self-esteem and relationship issues.
We host a weekly Coffee & Muffin Morning, and a monthly Book Club.
On Tuesday afternoons we have an After School Tutor class for primary age children.
On Wednesday afternoons we run a Kidz Klub Music group for primary school age children, and a Girls Group for girls 11 and up.
On Mondays Lester can teach you how to grow a Bonsai tree.
Computer Lessons for Seniors and Genealogy classes are available by appointment.
Fresh bread, fruit and vegetables are available on Tuesday mornings, 9.45 – 10.30am.
Please bring your Concession Card. Food Bank runs February to December, except after Monday Public Holidays.
Arts and Craft Groups
You can learn or enhance your creative and artistic skills with our Stiches Sewing Studio on Tuesdays, Artful Acrylics on Wednesdays, and Playful Pottery on Mondays and Thursdays.
Therapeutic and Self-Development Groups
On Tuesdays we hold a Women’s Group, a Chi Kung exercise group and a Meditation Journey group.
