Youth Counselling

Helping Young People Reconnect, Build Confidence and Thrive

Adolescence can be a challenging time for both young people and their families. As young people navigate changes in identity, friendships, family relationships, education, and future goals, they can sometimes feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure where they belong.

Our Youth Counselling Service provides a safe, welcoming, and non-judgemental space where young people can talk openly about their experiences, develop practical coping skills, and receive support to overcome challenges that may be impacting their wellbeing.

Supporting Young People Through Life’s Challenges

Every young person’s story is different. Our counsellors work alongside young people to explore their concerns, identify strengths, and develop practical strategies to manage challenges in healthy and constructive ways.

  • anger and behavioural management
  • depression and anxiety
  • bullying
  • school refusal
  • self-harm or suicidal thoughts
  • self-confidence and self-esteem
  • parent and adolescent conflict physical, emotional and sexual abuse
  • sexuality and gender identity issues
  • trauma and grief
  • relationship issues

Our focus is on helping young people feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive choices for their future.

Our service helps young people and families strengthen communication, improve understanding, and work through challenges together. We support young people to express their thoughts and feelings in healthy ways while helping families develop stronger and more supportive relationships.

Creative Therapies: Art & Music Therapy

Not every young person feels comfortable expressing themselves through conversation alone. For some, creative therapies can provide a more engaging and accessible way to explore emotions, process experiences, and build confidence. Our service offers access to Art Therapy and Music Therapy as alternative or complementary supports alongside counselling.

A Youth-Centred Approach

We understand that trust takes time. Our counsellors create a supportive environment where young people feel respected, listened to, and involved in decisions about their own support journey.

We focus on each young person’s strengths, interests, and aspirations while providing practical tools that help them navigate challenges and build resilience. By working collaboratively with young people, families, schools, and community supports where appropriate, we aim to create positive and lasting outcomes.

Taking the First Step

Seeking support is a sign of strength. Whether a young person is struggling with relationships, emotional wellbeing, school engagement, or simply needs someone to talk to, our team is here to help.

Together, we can support young people to build confidence, strengthen relationships, reconnect with their community, and create a positive path forward.
